Obama acted as if he got a mandate, when a lot of people voted (or not voted) for no more Cuckservatives.
Folks with a background in statistical analysis are familiar with the concern of “confounding error.” You can ask a question, but, does a positive or negative response really give you any usable information?
“Do you approve/disapprove of the direction our country is taking?”
Disapprove, say 70 percent. Approve, say 20 percent. What if half of the seventy believe we should adopt socialism more rapidly? A huge disapproval number, but it doesn’t show unanimity.
Elections have consequences. Maybe elections are simply a “random walk.” I believe most of us simply want what is best for our country. It is the unintended consequences of this want that I’m most apprehensive of.

Um, boys and girls, remember what you are there for. Democrat hubris turned the nation into an electoral map covered in Red. Don’t do the same thing.
I do say that the republicans have a mandate. I won’t say Trump does.
I do, but I do say that the ‘pub’s have a mandate;however, unlike the ‘dems, the ‘pubs aren’t monolithic.
So, there you go, which is the big tent party?
I think the republicans need to read that warning more than Trump does. He seems to still be in the ‘drain the swamp’ mode.
Along with a bit of “lets troll them a bit” (and I mean both sides).
