Don Rickles is my new hero

Remember when it was OK for anyone to make fun of anyone?

I do. I grew up watching this racist, sexist, misogynist, homophobic, transphobic bigot:

I used to think it was funny. (I also used to take the First Amendment for granted.)

Now no one can make fun of anyone.

To use a sexist homophobic expression, it sucks.

Must admit that I am really curious about the meaning of this song. Could I find any explanation anywhere?

It’s a play on their name, and about girl fans who want to get with them

Hmmm… Sounds suspiciously sexist by modern standards…

Are we free to discuss anything?

If not, then what are the implications for the First Amendment?

BTW, I live in Ann Arbor. And as a young friend keeps reminding me, today’s young censors will be tomorrow’s judges.

You thought Don Rickles was funny?

May I suggest that it’s because Don Rickles was funny?

    Thanks for the chuckles.
