From what I read a “conventional” well takes two years. A new technology well takes 2 months.
This will change the dynamics.
To get a well flowing (investment) requires $45 a bbl oil. To keep a well flowing (maintenance) requires $20 a bbl oil.
A whole lot of new oil technology has come out of the fracking boom. This information has not acquired the status of general knowledge.
