Some parents whose children have been killed by guns are suing a few Chicago suburbs because of the “flood of guns” coming from those suburbs.
How about stopping the flood of murderous impulses?

Do they have any evidence that the increased shootings are from guns from these specific suburbs?
Assuming there’s the slightest reality to any of this, which suburbs are these, and why, in particular, do guns “flood” from there? (Probably turn out it’s the local Cabela’s, and it’s people buying defensive weapons _because_ of the increased crime – presto, instant baaaad statistic)
guns dont cause murders anymore then atomic bombs cause hiroshimas!
“How about stopping the flood of murderous impulses?”
Good luck.
Oh, and Captain… atomic bombs don’t cause Hiroshimas. Nor do any weapons cause anything. Attack does cause defense. (Assuming the defender has the balls (or ovaries) to fight back.
Presumably, you wish to remove both. Good luck.
Yeah – that was a bit too much “good luck”. But we need to deal with what IS – what people DO.
And people aren’t saints. Best we can hope for is to let people defend themselves – and hang them high if they are committing murder.
The universe is not a fair place. The best we can hope for is to make it more fair.
This is Father Pfleger of Chicago and his never-ending attempt to keep his name in the news.
Blame the person who wielded the gun? Why next you are going to say that there is free will and we are all responsible for our actions. HERESY! Don’t you know that we are all victims of whatever?
