I have been passing around phrases similar to No more taxed than tomatoes in reference to cannabis for a while. You can see it at my posts Scheduling and Just Leave Me Alone.
So I was pleasantly surprised to see it repeated in a comment at Medical marijuana a challenge for legal pot states. Since the comments don’t have links I’m going to repost all of it.

The issue is people need to stop treating marijuana like anything but tomatoes.
It’s not any different than using rose extract to help people relax. Do you need a doctor to prescribe you Rose extract??? No???
Why Not?
Do you need a doctor to prescribe caffeine in the moring to wake up?
Do you need a doctor to tell you to go to the bar to drink some beer?
So why would you need a doctor to prescribe something to you that relieves you of what ails you, that is actually less harmful than the aspirin in your medicine cabinet?
I have also been seeing my “Cannabis cures cancer. Cancer kills 586,000 Americans every year. Every Prohibitionist is complicit in mass murder.” repeated in various ways around the ‘net.
