Pushing up the definition of childhood and adolescence into adulthood is not a new idea, but this one takes the cake:
Patients out of childhood but not yet fully mature have physical, developmental and social needs that often go unrecognized by doctors, studies show. The adolescent-young adult group, dubbed “AYA,” ranges in age from about 13 to about 26, although some researchers include adults up to 39.
A 39 year old adolescent? I’ve known a few, but frankly, at 59 I don’t feel less adolescent than I did at 39. In fact, at age 39 I felt older than I do now.
(Clearly or unclearly, this is a post something post!)

We can’t even agree on the meaning of man and women, what makes you think “child” can’t include some 39 year old man…. er’ “person”
As the song goes, “For I was so much older then, I’m younger than that now.”
Learned helplessness and infantilization. This won’t end well.

Hey, if it weren’t for learned helplessness and infantizilation among the electorate, Democratic politicians would be collecting unemployment!
