When you say “there ought to be a law” do you realize what you are saying is that “there ought to be violence”?
Just how many laws do you want?

Precisely.
The only beneficiaries of more laws are politicians and the bureaucrats that work for them.
We truly are a corrupted society. IMO, this is due to moral authoritarians’ relentness pursuit of perfection in both economic outcomes and/or in personal behaviors that’s led us to this state of affairs. As the saying goes, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. We need to stop the paving and destroy the roads to nowhere we have already paved.
so get rid of school zones because the cops might try to stop you with violence to stop you going 80 mile an hour in a school zone! Yeah I know it keeps the kiddies nimble and light on their feet!
