Spike Jones played my favorite version.
Burl Ives was the first to record Ghost Riders. At least Wiki and YouTube say so.
Give me The Outlaws every time, and back it with “Green Grass and High Tides”.
Outlaws version is still my favorite. But they’re all good. I’ll be dreaming of ghost riders tonight, I expect.
Yanno, if old Santa Claus is one, might explain how he can get to all those kids so fast…ghosts don’t have to obey laws of physics. 😀
Sean Morey did a little twist on this with his Ghost Chickens in the Sky. Doesn’t quite rise to Spike Jones’ quality but has it’s own charm.
