Isn’t This Conspiracy To Commit Fraud?

Doctors from numerous hospitals set up a station near the Capitol to provide notes covering public employees’ absences. Family physician Lou Sanner, 59, of Madison, said he had given out hundreds of notes.

Ummm, what?

Let’s say the Milwaukee Brewers put together a promotion in which they encouraged attendees to call in sick and provided doctors to give them notes excusing their absence.  Does anyone think that wouldn’t be massively illegal and lead to forfeiture of medical licenses if not jail time?  The mind boggles.

Also note the goalposts for left-wing protests are, shall we say, a bit lower than for Tea Partiers.

But Madison police spokesman Joel DeSpain said there had been no arrests or problems by midafternoon.

I don’t recall a lot of articles covering Tea Party protests that focused on the lack of arrests as an indication of their peacefulness.

What’s the reasonable value of a medical exam? Audit the doctor’s income to see if there was payment for services, and taxes due on earned income. Audits frequently uncover unexpected surprises. Also, let the insurance companies go after any claims for doctors bills as fraudulent. And if there was no bill for services and no payment for insurance, then the teacher’s had the benefit of medical services without paying for medical services. Sounds like something of value that could be taxed as income. And an opportunity to let teachers enjoy tax audits.
Let’s see. How many excuses did the doctors sign? Can we expect the teachers to not use the excuses, just to protect the doctors? I’d say, gather them up and start the fraud prosecutions, with multiple counts and many subpoenas. The press coverage could be enormous and I don’t think the unions would benefit one damn bit.
It’s how the left has played the game for years.

Great lesson for the kids. Of course if the kids organize a skip day the teachers and administrators go berserk, threaten, and even fine the parents. Attendance equals funds.
Lying, cheating, extortion, but it is all for the kids. What could the poor waifs possibly learn without qualified union teachers?

Well, these are the same people who conceived of “lying for justice.” So a little “fraud” for justice is no big deal.
