Mercy, Mercy, Mercy

I’m going into the hospital next week for a little plumbing rearrangement. If all goes well I should get most of my kidney function back. I have Stage 3 kidney malfunction. Although the nurses tell me, “You don’t look like someone with stage 3 kidney disease.” So my health is still good. It is (in theory) an outpatient procedure. Not even an overnight stay.

Cannonball Adderley wrote this song in honor of the hospital I’m going to. And he didn’t even know it.

My doctor is a U Chicago guy. So I’m in good hands. I always had a soft spot for Chicago Boyz. I was one (for a year) and #2 son graduated with honors. I’ll never top that.

I am sorry for being an old fart and doing the things I always hated about OFs. “Not another recitation about your visit to the doctor.” At least in this case there is quality musical accompaniment.

Thank you all for your kind regards. A stent was put in to open one of the tubes. I will be back to see if they can finish next week.
