The DEA and The Drug Cartels Own Trump

Our oh so slightly esteemed President Trump was at the UN yesterday drumming up support for the Global Drug War.

Countries that signed the “Global Call to Action on the World Drug Problem” were promised an invitation for their leader to attend a kick-off event with Mr. Trump in New York. The statement was not drafted in the usual multilateral process of a declaration from the UN and the wording was presented as non-negotiable. One hundred and thirty countries signed but 63 did not; the dissenters include major U.S. allies such as Germany, Norway and Spain.

The statement reiterates the primacy of international “narcotics control” efforts, with an emphasis on criminalization and the role of law enforcement. It does not contain the word “human rights”; advocates for harm reduction and against mass incarceration have been trying to inject a rights-focused approach into international drug policy.

Early on, the United States enlisted Russia and the Philippines where President Rodrigo Duterte has declared a “drug war” that has resulted in more than 20,000 extrajudicial killings of suspected drug users as “co-hosts” of the statement.

The Global Drug War was one of the first instances of World Government Globalism. Which he claims to be against. So much for honest politicians.

Trump used to know better.

In a speech delivered at the Miami Herald’s Company of the Year Awards luncheon [April 1990], Donald Trump condemned the “war on drugs” as “a joke” and called for the legalization of drugs. “We’re losing badly the war on drugs,” he said. “You have to legalize drugs to win that war. You have to take the profit away from these drug czars.”

But maybe a certain previous example was brought to his attention.

“The Latin American drug cartels have stretched their tentacles much deeper into our lives than most people believe. It’s possible they are calling the shots at all levels of government.” – William Colby, former CIA Director, 1995

Not too long after making that statement Colby died in a boating accident.

Maybe Trump is trying to avoid a boating accident. Smart move. But not exactly a profile in courage.

We do know quite a bit about what causes addiction.

Dr. Lonny Shavelson found that 70% of female heroin addicts were sexually abused in childhood.

Addiction is a symptom of PTSD. Look it up.

The NIDA says Addiction Is A Genetic Disease

When the commenters at Conservative Treehouse are more rational on the Drug War than D. Trump you have to know he is in big trouble.

You might like to read this book which was mentioned in the comments there. Which goes to show you how far they have come.

And my prior article on the subject, Does The CIA Now Own Trump?, might also be of some interest.

Nice click-bait title, maybe try writing an article next time instead of copy-paste.

Well Steve. I provide a thesis and sources.

I prefer brevity to long expositions.

Anyone else having trouble with the McCoy PDF timing out before it can load from the EU drug library?

    c andrew,

Yes. I just tried and it times out.

If you look around I believe the CIA has a copy. If you want them to know what you are interested in.

“[T]he dissenters include major U.S. allies such as Germany, Norway and Spain.”

In other words, countries that we can’t bomb.
