Enjoying my death? Not quite yet. Although, the thought had crossed my mind in the context of Roy Moore… I have to say that no one else could have gotten me off my ass to write an actual blog post — much less three… So perhaps I should thank the son of a bitch.
As an issue right now, death couldn’t suck more. Especially because I’d miss out on what is called “news.” Today it’s Omarosa on CNN and Comey on Fox. Unlike when I was a kid, today there is no longer agreement on what it is that constitutes news. Only competing conspiracy theories narratives.
I might argue that this used to be a wonderful country, but whatever.

You could Get a tattoo.
BTW – there was a bit of a flamewar on Insty over that article – I was on the side of the man who got the tattoo.
Fake news is nothing new. William Randolph Hearst and yellow journalism for one example, Walter Cronkite and the Tet offensive for another, Mike Barnicle making it all up, Stephen Glass, what’s her name with the made up 8 year old drug addict, and so on.
Why shouldn’t the tattoo be taken at face value? Or, resuscitate and ask him if he wants to live.
hmmm, what if it said something like “please drive a spike through my head”? Think before you ink[tm]
Judging from the article I read, he did think before he inked. (He also had a properly signed and witnessed DNR – but evidently was afraid they wouldn’t find it – which they didn’t until the tattoo freaked them out and they went hunting it.)
