“Who gets credit for doing and developing mathematics, who is capable in mathematics, and who is seen as part of the mathematical community is generally viewed as White.”
Isn’t she bringing up the question of race and IQ? I thought that topic was verboten.
And please note: averages tell you nothing about individuals. Unfortunately “average” is a mathematical concept.

To start with, many brown people made vastly important contributions to math.
What we call Hindu-Arabic numerals represent a system that was originally imported to Europe from Arab sources, but the Arab contribution was only the character set. The invention is colloquially called the zero. The truly revolutionary invention was positional notation. With that as a system one only needs to learn 10 characters and understand some simple rules for manipulating them. How each shift left was a factor of 10 higher. Like this: 186,282 miles per second. Imagine the difficulty in writing the same number in Roman letters or in the Babylonian system.
From the unknown inventor of positional notation thousands of years ago to Ramanujan dark brown southern Indian Brahmins have consistently produced mathematical geniuses.(I should note that I’ve always suspected they invented a simple way to write enormous numbers just to keep track of how many gods they have. I think what really offends these mindless leftoid snowflakes is that in math there are definitive right and wrong answers to problems. You can’t fake it, and math doesn’t give a flying fsck what you feel about it. And modern “liberalism” is all about the feels.
