Last night I went to a Meet Up with a group of Rockford Makers. It was great fun. In their shop they have a lot of very nice tools. The usual metal lathes and milling machines. A few 3D printers plus a laser cutting machine. Here is their current interest list:

I got to talk to engineers, technicians, coders, and the just interested. Since it was an open house they made me and the OL neat key fobs with their logo on it using the laser cutter.
So far I have promised to go back every Wednesday. I’m looking forward to it.
