Leary’s original work was on alcoholics. Today we would say they had PTSD. The LSD used in those experiments proved quite beneficial to the alcoholics tested. More research needs to be done because Leary’s sample size was small. Ten or twelve people IIRC. Which is not near enough to get a coherent view of the subject. Then he suggested popular use ( the 60s began roaring ) and the establishment came down on him with tons of bricks. But they were too late.
