Putin Says: More False Flag Chemical Attacks On The Way

You may recall my recent post that indicates the “gas attack” in Syria was a false flag attack. Or at minimum that a lot of the aftermath of the attack was staged.

Now Vladimir Putin is suggesting that more false flag attacks are on the way.

With Rex Tillerson on his way to Russia, moments ago Russian president Vladimir Putin shocked reporters when he said that Russia has received intelligence from “trusted sources” that more attacks using chemical weapons are being prepared on the Damascus region, meant to pin the blame on the Assad government.

“We have information from various sources that such provocations — and I cannot call them anything else — are being prepared in other regions of Syria, including in the southern suburbs of Damascus, where they intend to plant some substance and blame the official Syrian authorities for its use,” Putin told a briefing.

Russian President Putin announced that Russia will officially turn to the UN in the Hague for an investigation of the chemical weapons’ use in Idlib. Moscow has dismissed suggestions that the Syrian government that it backs could be behind the attack in Idlib province.

That is going to put a hitch in the rush to war campaign.

Except that we don’t need a chemical weapons excuse. White House Reveals New “Red Lines”: Assad’s Use Of Barrel Bombs Could Lead To More Strikes. It looks like ordinary bombs will be quite sufficient.

Remember Yellow Rain? Something killed a number of Afghans in 1981. I have seen explanations that it was really, truly, incontrovertibly bee poop, and I’ve seen explanations that it was really, truly, incontrovertibly a Russian chemical weapon. (of course there’s no reason it couldn’t be weaponized bee poop) So, which was it?

I’m tending towards an “all of the above” explanation for Syria. Assad really did bomb with something, might have included sarin, extra victims were added by some third party, Russians are lying their ass off, and might be behind at least some of it, and so on.

Trump’s response might actually make sense. I’m sure whoever set this up expected some sort of response. In the previous administration O’bimbo would have sent in two or three cruise missiles or drone strikes somewhere irrelevant, made yet another gaseous speech, and sent his minions to talk up a storm the next Sunday. In other words ineffectual dithering and posturing. Whoever organized this, and I’m relatively sure it included Russians, probably expected similar from Trump. Call it reconnaissance by fire played on a geopolitical stage or a calibration run on Trump. What they got probably made them poop in their collective undies – 59 cruise missiles and a devastated airfield, and plenty more where that came from. Anybody else want a piece of this? Think of it from the point of view of a tough guy from the outer boroughs who fought his way up in some of the world’s toughest markets. Don’t take a provocation lying down, and smack the shit out of the bastards fast and hard.

    Devastated airfield?

They were running ops out of it the next day.

    Objectively fighting Assad helps ISIS.

It is pretty clear that it has been quasi-secret American policy to support the “rebels” while decrying them. The Saudis are our best buds – you will recall.

So far I am not seeing any reversal of that policy. Objectively we are backing ISIS with this move (bombing Assad’s airfield) while pretending to be against them.

    MMM,

Well if we hit the people doing the provoking – fine.

In 2013 the same gang ran a gas attack in the hope of stampeding Obama.

Read up on it. Most say it was a false flag attack.

They re-run the play 4 years later and Trump bites.

Oh good lord. Can’t a bunch of savages have a war of their own in some Third World cesspit without the US government having to get involved?

Who are our friends in Syria, whom we’re obligated to help, again? Oh, that’s right–NO ONE.
