The following is my take on the Flynn Affair.
I’m betting both Flynn and the Russian Ambassador knew they were being monitored. So the question is – why did they do it? Didn’t Flynn know the motives and methods of his opposition? If he did know motives and methods – he is up to something. Fire him. If he didn’t? He is incompetent. Fire him.

And Trump trying to hire some one from the intel agencies to manage the intel agencies? Well, given what we know so far that doesn’t seem to be particularly wise.

Here’s the part that’s so obvious that the Left refuses to understand it.
Trump had been elected and had named Flynn as National Security Advisor well before inauguration. Why does anyone find an issue with the incoming administration “officially” trying to reach out to diplomatic contacts prior to officially taking office? It happens every time the President changes, so why is it such an offence for the DJT administration?
We all know the answer, but no one within 100 miles of DC will admit the truth.

Something else is going on. It is not entirely clear.
What if…
They both knew they were being monitored, so they were goofing around, saying things no one could take seriously. Like “vhat about the arms limitation” “sure, we’d be glad to limit your arms to 6″ below the shoulder”. “wanna buy a used reset button?”
Has anyone seen an actual transcript of what this putative *outrageous, unprecedented, obscene, treasonous violation of the Logan act really consists of? For all we know they talked about the weather and made an appointment to meet sometime after the inauguration. Completely effing innocuous in other words.
I suspect Trump initially thought this tempest in a piss pot would blow over, but watching the official media having paroxysms and seizures over this gnat’s ass of an issue gave him the idea to use it as a distraction and get some real work done while the left has a meltdown choking on their own twisted panties.
