There are various ways to deal with cognitive dissonance, such as above. One is to deal with the contradictions. The other is to become too stupid to notice them. Modern liberals are approaching flatworm levels of intellectual acumen. (Flatworms can be taught to run a simple maze by always turning left. Just like liberals.)
