Despite Donald, the woman kept her house. And you have a problem. What about power lines? What about gas lines? Railroads?
All take private property for private gain.
Is it right? Well in some cases yes and in other cases no. I’d say Donald overstepped. He lost. Kelo was not so lucky.

Yeah, Simon, I have a problem with Trump on eminent domain. Power lines, gas lines, and railroad right-of-ways are all infrastructure. The Trump Plaza Casino, before Trump abandoned it, was not infrastructure. It was a freaking gambling house. Trump colluding with Atlantic City government to kick and old lady out of her own house was every bit as despicable as Kelo vs. New London. Libertarian? Face palm.
I repeat: I’ll vote for Trump over Hillary if it comes down to it. But it won’t be easy pulling the lever.
My beef is that he’s never changed his position on eminent domain. He’s changed his mind on all sorts of other important issues and in some cases I admire that he’s taken a more pro-liberty position. But no remorse, no change of heart for his failed attempt to take an old lady’s house away by force so he’d have more space to park limousines.

I don’t disagree. In the Trump case the system worked. Kelo got screwed.
