Abortion Is An Unjust War

I had a commenter say, “Abortion is an unjust war”. That is a new one on me. And maybe it is. But, years of studying the matter along with commentary to my posts tells me what sells is misdemeanor murder and the woman goes free. Hardly worth all the fuss.

Why not just continue private work – which is having an effect – instead of turning it into a government program?

What you will get with laws is black markets, government enforcers, government expense, and government corruption.

Will it be worth it?

you hate abortion but you also hate welfare. most women have abortions because conservatives and bill clinton have made being on welfare so difficult and miserable. drug testing and other humiliations. if you want lower the number of abortions support easing of welfare restrictions. I know you just want to punish women your doing gods work!

I’d go the other direction, Captain. I’d make drug testing mandatory for every recipient of federal funds. All employees of the Shitty Corn Gas Industry: drug testing. All military contractors: drug testing. Climate scientists: drug testing. Senators and Congresscritters: drug testing. President Awesome and Idiot Joe: drug testing.

And there’d be only one way to keep from being tested for drugs (including alcohol and tobacco): Stop bellying up to the taxpayer $$$ trough.

    CapitalistRoader,

I can’t pee in a bottle on command. There is a name for the condition: avoidant paruresis. I’ve had it since at least age 5. About 3% of the population has the problem.

I’m pretty much denied work in my field because of it.

I’m no fan of drug testing.

Either am I, Simon. But if the citizens of the US won’t get rid of drug prohibition then make drug testing mandatory for all recipients of federal taxpayer money. Every farmer—and Ag corp. employee—who gets subsidies for shitty corn gas gets tested. From the CEO on down.

Maybe I went too far with Congresscritters and the POTUS. After all, they’re elected. But the VP, every single congressional and White House staff person, the entire cabinet…every federal employee. Every recipient of the EITC. Every single climate scientist that gets paid via a federal grant. And make the results public. I guarantee that Congress will soon start drafting laws decriminalizing drugs after Denis McDonough’s or Valerie Jarrett’s public test results show positive for cocaine or pot or whatever.

P.S. Hair cuttings would work, too.
