According to Gloria Steinem, the boys are with Bernie Sanders. Which, in the mind of this elderly feminist scold, means that girls who claim to be supporting Bernie Sanders are actually only after the boys.
Feminist icon Gloria Steinem has drawn the wrath of the Twitterverse for suggesting that young women supporting Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign are doing so to gain the attention of men.
“When you’re young, you’re thinking, ‘Where are the boys? The boys are with Bernie,’” Steinem told Bill Maher Friday night on the comic’s HBO show “Real Time.”
Maher leapt right on her comment. “Now if I said that, ‘Yeah, they’re for Bernie because that’s where the boys are,’ you’d slap me,” he said.
And what about the boys who ask, “Where are the girls?” and then flock to the candidate the girls support? Apparently Steinem thinks boys have more sense than girls. (Which I guess follows if you proceed from the sexist assumption that girls are weak-minded and in need of protection and domination.)
What has feminism come to?
Steinem’s belief that girls are inherently stupid, vapid, and easily misled is the essence of old fashioned sexism!

Seems to me that most “new feminism” is nothing but women reading Victorian romance novels and wanting to get back on that pedestal. Sad that Steinhem fell for it, too.
And points to Maher.
the older feminist are like the old stalinists supporting the purge. they don’t care about her ethical problems. its like the old congressman nixon supporter who said during watergate “don’t confuse me with the facts I am sticking with the president!
madilyn albright now says young women who vote for bernie will burn in hell!
Two fooled… do they think Hillary is a feminist?
Oh, and, btw – it seems younger Dem females are going for grand-daddy Bernie in droves. Not sure why – but maybe there should be a sugar in between grand and daddy…

@captain – that spellchecker is a major pain.
But I don’t really agree – Bernie’s way has been proven a failure, again and again. Her way, however, is just as bad.
@CapitalistRoader – yes, indeed you did.
Reminds me of the old anti-Vietnam war poster encouraging draft dodging.
Three pretty young females and the legend “Girls say yes to boys who say no.”
