Attack of the Killer Virgins!

Sorry for yet another facetious title, but I couldn’t make this stuff up if I tried.

Earlier a friend emailed me about an outbreak of college campus hysteria in Philadelphia. The content of that last link has been changed after nothing happened, but originally, all local colleges were warned about a possible attack by a group calling itself the “Beta Rebellion”:

“Out of an abundance of caution” after the mass shooting that killed nine last week at an Oregon community college, the FBI’s Philadelphia field office has warned Philly-area universities about a threatening post made over the weekend on that crucible and/or cesspit of internet culture, 4chan.

“No specific college or university was identified in the posting. We encourage students, faculty, and employees at area colleges and universities to follow the guidance of their campus security officials,” the FBI said in a statement.

The post in question claims the Oregon shooting was the first phase of a “Beta rebellion,” and threatens “On October 5, 2015 at 1:00 PM CT, a fellow robot will take up arms against a university near Philadelphia. His cries will be heard, his victims will cower in feat, and the strength of the Union will decay a little more.”

It continues:

“I plead to thee, brothers! We only have but one chance, one spark, for our revolution. The United States will soon condemn us to the status quo forever, and soon after, the United Nations. Don’t let our one chance at writing history slip away. Martyr yourself for the cause or support those who have the courage to do so. We have the chance to make the world a better place for betas everywhere.”

The “Beta Uprising” is a popular trope on 4chan’s /r9k/ board, where “beta” men lament that American society (read: women) is inherently biased against them, and only favors boring, well-adjusted “normies.” Guys on the board—“robots”—like to fantasize about a violent rebellion that would finally teach the world to respect betas.

The so-called “Beta Rebellion” is said to consist of a bunch of angry geeks who like to frighten people. Social media seems to be a perfect playing field to stoke hatred between those in on a new culture war. “Normies” versus those on the out.

There is even a “Beta Rebellion” website: A “REVOLUTIONARY ALLIANCE OF MEN THAT WOMEN FIND UNATTRACTIVE.”

Their logo praises virginity:

betarebellion

A movement of murderous disaffected virgins? Surely they can’t be serious.

As far as I can tell, the whole meme appears to have been made up, using the same froglike character featured at the website.

Sigh. I guess people are easily frightened, especially when it touches on the REVENGE OF THE NERDS meme.

But who is being killed? Terrified helpless subjects? Might this just be a case of betas versus betas? Here’s what I think is a more healthy reaction to this insanity:

Some anonymous idiot on 4chan makes some vague threat referencing the Oregon shooter as part of some rebellion, and now every school in the Philly area is on lockdown. They were interviewing students who say they will hide in their dorms rather than venture to class at 2:00 today. What a fucking joke. What a bunch of low IQ pussies. The fucking idiot in Oregon was a 26 year old emotionally disturbed virgin loner from a broken home who was probably on psychotropic drugs (not a peep from the MSM about that). He had no friends and lived in an apartment with his mommy. He wasn’t part of a revolution. Use your fucking brains people.

I thought the fucking NSA captures every electronic communication in the country. They can’t figure out who supposedly made the threat because they posted anonymously. Give me a fucking break. They can trace the IP address to a location. They can supposedly tell when they are hacked by Russians or Chinese, but they can’t track down a poster on a website?

This is just more bullshit from our government keepers to make us beg for their protection. Never let a mass shooting go to waste. I wonder what threat level I should be observing today.

FWIW, I think we need more people like this guy:

ROSEBURG, Ore. (KGO) —

An Army veteran is recovering from seven gunshot wounds after witnesses say he charged straight at the man who opened fire at an Oregon community college.

Witnesses say 30-year-old Chris Mintz, a father and a student, charged at the shooter on Thursday, shouting at his classmates to run.

“He ran to the library and pulled all the alarms and he was telling people to run, grabbing people and telling them you have to go and he actually ran back towards the building where the shooting was,” eyewitness Hannah Miles said.

That’s where family in North Carolina say Mintz blocked the doorway into a classroom as the gunman shot him repeatedly.

Too bad he wasn’t armed, though. More lives could have been saved.

While I have been speculating about the increase in school shooting incidents, what I had not known until today was that to some sick minds, virginity is a deadly issue worth killing people over. I said “minds,” because the latest killer virgin worshiped the last one:

Student Christopher Harper-Mercer, who was obsessed with Nazi memorabilia and the IRA, hero-worshipped Rodger, 22, who took his own life last year after shooting six victims near the campus of University of California in Santa Barbara.

He posted a message online 24 hours before his copycat spree at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, last Thursday in which he addressed his readers as “fellow robots” and wished them “an enjoyable Elliot Rodger day”.

It was also revealed that the 26-year-old, who was shot dead by police, made numerous references to Rodger in computer files and handwritten journals seized from his apartment by agents from the FBI and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

Like Rodger, a self-confessed virgin who grew bitterly resentful that he could not find a girlfriend, he predicted his own fate, blogging that he would be “welcomed in Hell and embraced by the Devil”.

Perhaps they should be called “Race-Obsessed Killer Virgins,” because these two killers seem to have been obsessed with their mixed race status.

This video offers what might be at least a partial explanation:

So does this:

Clearly, the guy knew he would be noticed, and he was right.

In the old days, guys who couldn’t get laid could at least hire prostitutes. Today that’s a serious crime which might lead to prison. And if I looked like either one of these virgins, I would not especially want to go to prison.

UODATE: Thank you Sarah Hoyt at Instapundit for the link! A warm welcome to all!

  1. […] MORE: While it can be debated how much of a threat school shooters are, suppose we take Obama’s rhetoric at its face value and assume that the United States is now “allowing” a dire new threat. Who are the attackers? Young suicidal maniacs motivated by personal grudges like virginity? […]

    “But who is being killed?”

mostly, it’s the virgin males being killed. in utter despair over their loneliness, many end up suicidal.

the suicide rate for men in america is still going up. if it was women doing this, we would have 3 government departments and a whole month dedicated to “solving the problem of female suicide.” but it’s just men, and men who women have decided to ignore, so no one cares.

Some large percentage of Islamic terrorists no doubt were/are virgins. It’s a bad combination: horny young men whipped up into a religious/ethnic/racial grievance fervor, egged on by their religious/ethnic/racial leaders, and excused by our idiot POTUS. It’s as if the President is striving to be the “cool dad”; it’s as if he’s mentally stuck in junior high school, as were these killer losers.

I believe I read elsewhere that Mintz was armed, but decided that pulling out his weapon would be dangerous in that situation. His reasoning was that he might have been mistaken for an assailant instead of a rescuer, or otherwise exacerbate the situation.
