Drug War tactics applied to food? It seems unAmerican to me. But then I recall Wickard v. Filburn. But the movie does make a good point in explaining why FDA Agents need to be armed.
“We have nearly 40 federal agencies that are armed. I’m not against having police, I’m not against the army, the military, the FBI, but I think bureaucrats don’t need to be carrying weapons and I think what we ought to do, is if there is a need for an armed policeman to be there, the FBI who are trained to do this should do it,” Paul said yesterday on the Senate floor. “But I don’t think it’s a good idea to be arming bureaucrats to go on the farm to, with arms, to stop people from selling milk from a cow.”
That would be Rand Paul.
Have we had enough Police State yet?

“Have we had enough Police State yet?”
Obviously not.
@ Kathy – Thanks for the laugh.
It seems to me that if these bureaucrats were truly “public servants”, they wouldn’t need to be armed to serve us, their employers.
-The Surveillance State Bumps Uglies With the PC Left-
A short play in one unnatural act.
LEFTIST
You can’t single out radical muslims for inspection, that would be profiling. You have to treat everyone equally.
SURVEILLANCE STATIST
So, if we want to, say, monitor phone calls from known jihadis we would also have to monitor everyone else…
LEFTIST
Well, of course. It’s only fair.
SURVEILLANCE STATIST
(to himself)hmmm, so by extension if we monitor even one we must monitor all. Hot diggity!
