I never knew the Dylan Song “Like A Rolling Stone” had a University of Chicago connection. But it does. Consider the link “liner notes”. I get the UC Magazine (I’m an alum – X63 – as is my #2 son who graduated with honors) and was going through some back issues and found the article. Bob has pulled all his studio recorded work from YouTube so the below version was the best I could find.
There is an interactive version just released (19 November 2013) which is getting rave reviews. It is interesting. But my connection chops the music too much. I note it works some better on replay.
And for your amusement The Stones doing “Stone”.
And Hendrix at Monterrey Pop. I’ve heard Dylan do the Hendrix version of “All Along The Watchtower” live. Awesome. The first time in St. Louis about ’75. And also when he came to Rockford in ’94. I’ll have some clips of that below.
There was a time when giants walked among us. All fading or gone these days.
