Kurt Schlichter is not blaming libertarians and Libertarians for Ken Cuccinelli’s loss in Virginia. Much.
We usually think of a libertarian as a committed anti-statist who favors very limited government operating within strict parameters that maximize individual liberty. Some libertarians fit that mold. Others just want to take bong hits and pretend to be edgy by dissing conservatives.
The bong hitters are now at 58% and going higher.
Some one could win elections with that kind of support.

Conservative coalition building at its finest. Dissing those that share many, but not all of your political goals.
For many conservatives, it seems that moral hectoring is all they really care about. Building winning political alliances is secondary. They’d rather lose elections if winning means they would have to moderate some of their positions.
It is hard to build a coalition from people who beleive in freedom(libertarians) and those who don’t(social conservatives) Its like trying to build a coalition of jews and nazis! It just doesn’t work! They should join democratic party we will let you smoke dope if you alow us the social welfare state fair trade!

It seems a little on the nose to point this out, but “Captain Arizona”, do you recognize the cognitive dissonance (not to mention bitter irony) when you imply that you’re concerned with “freedom” in your first comment and then go on a “Just wait until WE have the power” tirade in your second post?
Progressives have no interest in freedom. Their interests can be distilled down to the desire to manipulate the State in order to control others.
I’d suggest holding off on the race war. The other side has most of the guns and they’re more skilled marksmen (They don’t hold the gun sideways when they shoot).
