Now that the second Boston jihadist has been caught, I have a lingering question.
Is it possible that the Boston Marathon bombing represents the birth of an American Al Qaeda?
If it does, then the arguments over whether this is “home grown” terrorism seem silly. And if it does not, is that because it is only a first? How many more do we need?

Gods – don’t ask that question – the DC snipers gave them hints. They didn’t listen. This pair did the same. Lets hope they don’t listen to that either.
We could become Israel – bombings at bus stops. Except that I suspect we’d go ballistic – we are not Israel, and we do not have their forebarance) and I HOPE they know that.
Or in plain English, in case any proto-jihadis are listening: We will tear you limb from limb, stuff spam in your mouth and bury you under a sidewalk so everyone can walk over you. Got it?

I’ve been asking this question, too. No data yet on the answer. These two guys apparently had no jobs, no money. But they drove fancy cars, worked out at the gym, paid tuition for classes they didn’t bother to attend, smoked weed, etc.
Seems to me the source of the money will define the geographical parameters of this particular cell.
Well, seems younger brother is alive and (at least) talking back, according to my latest news. So maybe we’ll get some answers. Or at least challenges that we can interpret as answers.
