I made a typo in my responses to a commenter. I meant to type “socon” for social conservative. Instead I typed sovcon.
But I think the word is apt. Sov – for both Social and Soviet (collective) and Con for Conservative. The Progressive Right. As opposed to the Libertarian Right.

Just like Democrats but with a stick up their butt about morals.
Little difference. They are both biblical THOU SHALT NOT. One concerns itself with small two-celled blastocytes and (OMG) two of the same sex wanting marriage… and the other concerns itself with…well, about everything else. Thou shalt eat no fat, thou shalt eat no sugar, thou shalt eat no salt, thou shalt worship at the feet of all women (ok, so I like that one) THOU SHALT NOT EVER defend oneself with a weapon. Etc.

But, till then, we dodge the THOU SHALT NOT’s – from both sides.
