SWAT Teams

Supposedly today is a day when bloggers of the correct persuasion are supposed to write only about the intimidation of other bloggers by a certain Brett Kimberlin.

So here is my contribution:

SWAT Teams. They are not just for dopers anymore.

Patrick Frey, one of the bloggers attacked by the appearance of a SWAT team at his home, was himself in the employ of a big employer of SWAT teams.

I hate seeing this sort of intimidation. On the other hand KARMA IS A BITCH.

This post strikes me at first as rather uncharitable. Mr. Frey seems to me to be one of the good guys.

Of course, when the good guys start being hoist by the petard they’ve allowed to be forged, perhaps more of them will reconsider the wisdom of the forge they’ve created.

So, yeah. Karma does indeed tend to be a bitch.

Or, in the more Anglo-Saxon/Christian idiom, you reap what you sow.

For the sake of accuracy and clarity, Frey has been on the record as stating that it was not a tactical team that responded to his home. Instead, and as would be expected, it was patrol officers who were in the immediate vicinity of his home. I understand that you have issues with police tactical teams (as do I in some cases) but this wasn’t a case where a tactical team was employed; it was simple police response and not a case of karma.

    Chris,

Thanks for the clarification. It was reported (may have even seen it on Frey’ site) as a SWAT team.

Maybe I’m confusing it with another incident in the series.
