A nasty virus infected me because I clicked on a link which was sent to me through a local political organization. I knew the sender and the group, and I did no more than go there. It was obvious spam, so I posted the group thusly:

…fortunately I am running NoScripts which blocked what it wanted to do. Just to be on the safe side, I’ll run Malwarebytes.
No big deal, at least, so I thought. Until the start button stopped working, and I couldn’t use control>alt>delete. So I ran Windows Defender, and this came up:
Interesting that it could not be deleted. What a supreme waste of time.
I should probably avoid being on lists.
