More Dersh

Dersh (roughly): “The prosecutor ought to be hiring a lawyer.” and “Mike Nifong territory”

The quotes may not be exactly exact. I have only listened once so far. But they are an accurate depiction of the conversation. Listen for yourself.

Dershowitz is making me sick! How self-righteous he is. The holier than thou Harvard professor, the defender of justice, jumping from conservative Glenn Beck to Fox News, laying it all at the feet of the Republican appointed special prosecutor.

His argument is that the second degree charge is flawed because it leaves out evidence which he alleged was available, such as the cell phone picture of Zimmerman’s bloody head. Was it available as the charge was being written, or did it become known after? How does Dershowitz know?

He then blasts Corey as a political (read Republican) creature running for office appointed by the Republican Governor in a strictly political move to quite the mob.

And who inflamed the mob? His Democrat buddies Obama and Holder. Not a word about them from His Holy Highness, Rabbi Dershowitz!

I’ll listen to what this ego driven, left wing political junkie has to say when he takes the advice he gave to Angela Corey, that is, to tell the whole truth, to blast equally as hard if not harder, the instigators of mob violence for political gain – Barrack Hussein Obama (Sotero), and Eric Holder.

Until then, he should shut the fuck up.

A word of advice to George Zimmerman:
Don’t under any circumstances allow Dershowitz anywhere near your defense table. He’ll have you cop a plea, or undercut you in a way to benefit his politics. He’s a bastard.

    Frank,

It is not the ABC picture that is critical. It is the early medical reports. Which the prosecution failed to look at – plausible denyability.

Allies are where you find them. I’ll take him.

All the more powerful as an advocate for Zim because he is arguing against interest. To expect him to came as far as you desire is unreasonable.

And Corey is slime of the first order. She was put in to do what she did. Buy time. The time has been bought (at great price).

    Now justice for Zim.

I originally thought Dershowitz was sincere. He certainly seemed so at first glance. I’m not denying that what he says may be the truth, as far as it goes. But it’s a partial truth used for a political purpose only. He’s setting it up for blame to fall on his, and the administration’s, political opponents when the riots break out. His motive is NOT impartial justice as he repeatedly states. Please!

This piece of shit is as much interested in finding truth, or defending the innocent, as he was when he helped O.J. Simpson walk.

Of course. And any decent defense attorney would jump on this anyway. So he points out the obvious and we should give him credit?

I think Dershowitz had two motives.

    1. Discredit the prosecution so that if an honest judge dismisses the case and riots ensue that the blame will be pivoted away from the administration. “If only the proper charge had been brought, this never would have happened.”

    2. Give cover for inevitable federal charges after either a trial and innocent verdict or hung jury, or dismissal. “This wouldn’t have been necessary if only the Republican prosecutor hadn’t played politics with the justice system.”

    And finally:
To expect him to came as far as you desire is unreasonable.
Perhaps. Give him that. But the culpable media such as NBC? Not a word of censure there either. No, he has fun by using Beck and Fox News. And they eat it up without even a probing question like “Professor, what do you think of Holder praising Sharpton in the middle of a racially charged lynching?”

As a defense atty. his job is only defending. I watched that case beginning to end. I had reasonable doubt. Tough for the prosecutor. In blog conversations recently I found that I’m not the only one coming to that conclusion.

And although I don’t know FLA politics well a number of people I have met on line who do think the Gov. botched the whole deal by putting “Overcharge” Corey in charge.

The worst thing for Obama & Co. would have been riots in FLA. The question is would you have been willing to allow a number of deaths and great destruction to beat Obama? I think I would. But I live in the boonies of Illinois. And setting up a defensive perimeter was definitely on my mind in March. I was ready to do what I had to do. But I was not happy about it.

OTOH maybe the intent was to calm the waters and get rid of Corey. A twofer.

BTW the Attys that are behind the Martins are called the Scheme Team by wags.

Look at it from a different point of view. People of all political stripes (a LOT of Dems in that mix) are seriously pissed at B. “looks like my son” Obama.

So maybe you will get your desired results without a race war. In fact it may be the reason that the heat is being turned down. It didn’t work as planned. Like so many O schemes this year.

It is one of the reasons I have been spending hours a day at Wagist. To get the facts and try out my theories on a critical audience. That is how I came up with my theory about the “Trayvon’s suspensions” in

    http://classicalvalues.com/2012/04/some-movement/

It has now pretty much been adopted by the pro-Zim folks at Wagist.

I’ll defer to your opinions about the Martin affair generally, with the exception of Dershowitz, since you’ve spent so much time digging into it. I have doubts about Zimmerman’s innocence and think a case could be made for manslaughter. What I don’t like is the “rush to judgment” to borrow a phrase from the OJ trial and Johnnie Cochran.

As to OJ and Dershowitz, I too watched and or listened to the trial. But I also had the benefit of Enid Goldstein, a liberal talk show host who covered it out of Sacramento from KSTE, the station that gave Limbaugh his start. She was fantastic. The stuff she dug up about OJ from his youth cast a whole different light on the man. This statement from his mother Eunice sums it up:

“I didn’t really think he’d turn out the way he did, but he always said you’d read about him in the papers someday and my oldest daughter would always say, ‘In the police report.’ “

The man was a guilty as sin.

A guy whose last name is also Simon and was friends with the defense told me that OJ was guilty. I believe it.

But the defense was masterful. They shredded the DNA evidence with faulty lab procedures. And the lab was very bad. Very very very very very bad. I hope they have cleaned it up since. And the Rampart scandal a few years later showed LAPD being in the habit of testilying. Something that biased me during the trial since I already knew that.

And the blood showing up on the gate?

My contention is/was if the police hadn’t tried to enhance the evidence the prosecution might have won.

The police botched that case. And the prosecution was left to work with a shambles.

BTW Zim is not even guilty of manslaughter. He is guilty of self defense. This is a political case. Not a legal one. If it was a legal case he would be on the street a free man.
