Here’s an interesting exit poll from the MI primary: Santurom wins decisively among those who strongly support the Tea Party… and those who strongly oppose the Tea Party.
The explanation, of course, is that Santorum is winning self-described Democrats by 3:1.
Romney is up by 4.4% with 63% in, so it looks like he’s going to win. Even if Santorum had won, though, I think the result would have been so tainted by the Democrat votes that it might have cost him the nomination, especially given that robocall.
Something else to keep in mind is that it seems likely that Romney will get Ron Paul’s delegates as well. So right now the polls actually say:
Rompaulney: 53.2%
Santorum: 37.3%
