“The Addictive Power Does Not Reside In The Drugs”

‘Dismissing addictions as “bad habits” or “self-destructive behaviour” comfortably hides their functionality in the life of the addict.’ Vincent Felitti , MD Physician and Researcher

I have been saying this for years. Nice to see a professional who has come to a similar conclusion.

My bullsh*t meter started ringing louder and louder whenever he drifted into socialist/multi-culti pseudo-history.

Primitive societies were pure and perfect – only EEEVIL White Man Capitalism has cause dislocation, trauma, and stress….

    Sure.

We’ll just ignore the brutality, poverty, malnourishment, and exploitation that typifies subsistence-level pagan societies…

    Ben,

He describes perfectly why socialism is so popular despite its history of disaster. The longing for that close community that we evolved in. All a politician “I feel your pain” has to do is to make a connection with that and he gets votes. Sometimes enough to win. All too often in fact.

Don’t let your understanding of reality blind you to reality.

On the rest this capitalist thinks (form independent investigation) he is spot on. And I have been saying so for years:

“People in chronic pain chronically take pain relievers.” I’m sure you have read that here before.

Or you could look up the work of an Israeli: Dr. Raphael Mechoulam. He is rather well known in the field. If you look him up you will find out why:

    Here is a start:

No wonder Iran has the highest heroin addiction rate in the world:

Iran routinely executes drug criminals too!

Why hasn’t Gingrich weighed in with praise?
