Hillary was right!

Speaking of new management, if this Washington Times report (via a comment here) is correct, it looks like the current administration may have literally become a player in the illegal drug business:

In an effort to prevent a Los Zetas takeover, Uncle Sam has gotten into bed with the rival Sinaloa cartel, which has close ties to the Mexican military. Recent court filings by former Sinaloa cartel member Jesus Vicente Zambada Niebla, currently in U.S. custody, reveal that the United States allowed the Sinaloas to fly a 747 cargo plane packed with cocaine into American airspace – unmolested.

I am reminded that early this year when Hillary Clinton was asked in an interview about legalizing drugs, she made the following unforgettable remark,

during an interview with Mexico’s Televisa, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton declared that the United States can’t legalize drugs “because there is just too much money in it.”

Makes a lot of sense if you think about it.

The war on drugs is a scam. A for-profit operation. As long as law enforcement ensures ridiculously high prices for worthless substances, huge profits are guaranteed.

Of course they don’t want to end it. Why would they turn off a gigantic spigot of wealth?

The most important aspect of this con game is to keep as many taxpayers as possible believing in the moral narrative.

Wouldn’t want to undermine “respect for law,” would we?

From an economic standpoint, the theoretical highest apex of the pyramid would be if the drug dealers and those tasked with law enforcement combined operations, as is happening today in the war on drugs.
