Short cloudy blogburst

I’m now officially on the road, having stopped in LA to help an artist with a kiln problem.
Being wIthout Internet access where I’m staying, I decided to check email at a local place called the Lyric Cafe, on Hyperion and Lyric. (Good coffee.)
I’m just lucky as hell that M. Simon has been blogging up a storm during my extended absence, especially about important issues, such as Polywell fusion and the lack of funding therefor by the Obama administration.
I’m hoping that when — and if — I finally get home I’ll get back to something like a normal life.
Sheesh. Now it’s starting to look like rain, and I’m sitting here blogging outdoors!
MORE: Commenter Montag asks an irresistible question:

I was reading about fusion and stopped here.
May I ask which Classical Values you are talking about?

Let’s see…
An unlimited supply of virtually free powerand, free heat would certainly be a Vulcan Value. Hope that’s classical enough!
Vulcan had some pretty wild sons, BTW….

One must admire you for your timing. 🙂
A few days back the host of a local morning radio show mentioned the downpour he was getting inland, while down hill he could see the community of La Jolla enjoying bright sunshine. Need a change in precipitation? Walk a block or two.

I’m sure polywell fusion is all well and good, but those kinds of subjects just make my eyes glaze over. As a fellow pitbull owner, I miss Coco pics and your style of writing and perspective. It’ll be nice to have you back soon.

    Vulcan is interesting.
He was Hephaestos in Greek legend. In the Iliad, when Hephaestos is forging a new shield for Achilles, he is attended by metal female robots – gold if I recall – and self-propelled tripods!
I have never had an satisfactory explanation of this bit of poetry from 3,000 years ago.
