Try the Carnival at “Let’s Try Freedom”!

The 112th Carnival of the Vanities is up at Bob Hayes’ excellent new blog, Let’s Try Freedom. The theme for this week’s carnival is “Things Having Nothing To Do With Partisan Politics,” and my post has nothing to do with the theme (nor do about half the disobedient entries). Bob does a great job with them all, and I like his general approach:

I may not end up in libertarian territory, but that’s generally the way my instincts tell me to head.

All the entries are good; here are some I especially liked:

  • Josh Cohen (originally scheduled to host the Carnival this week) has ominous warnings about Hillary Rodham Clinton:

All that matters to her is winning, and in 2008, we’d all better watch out.

  • Via The Key Monk, here’s a shocker that I, a Pennsylvanian, managed to miss: Kerry/Specter signs! Say it’s not true! Please?
  • Dissecting Leftism debunks the “Hick Christians” myth.
  • Les Jones offers advice for those wishing to “escape the concentration camps of Bushaliburton’s Christian Reich.” (Warmer than Siberia, eh?)
  • While we were all busy doing the election thing, Andrew Ian Dodge and his British buddies celebrated Guy Fawkes Day.
  • Quibble and Bits comes out of the CD closet with a true confession.
  • And don’t forget to say Happy Blogiversary to La Shawn Barber, folks. (Can’t believe it’s been a year already!)
  • Read ’em all!
