Green Speculation
Commenter RAH at the Belmont Club (5:26 pm) speculates on how the Green Movement and CO2 hysteria have played into the hands of the Russians. Russian President Medeyev was Gazprom President. In his new position he is buying contracts from other countries. Venezuela sells oil to Russia; Libya just signed a contract with Medeyev and Gazprom. I believe that they got the contracts from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. Saudi Arabia provides oil to the US as well as Kuwait and they are our client countries.Speculation of course. But it rings true. The parts fit. So who is funding AL Gore? And isn't it time McCain dropped his carbon tax ideas? In any case it also fits with the idea of the Uber Enviros being like Watermelons: Green on the outside Red on the inside. They should be ashamed of themselves. Starting resource wars and all especially in the midst of plenty (at current prices). Cross Posted at Power and Control posted by Simon on 08.17.08 at 10:18 PM

Thanks for the credit. I read at this site also. I know that Hammer was a tool for USSR and had connections to Al Gore's father. I do not mean to imply that Al Gore is a deliberate conspirator but rather a usefull tool. I do wonder about Hanson though, he has been really the primary push of this global warming caused by CO2 and human and the science is not that strong. But it has become an article of faith that humans are causing climate change rather than just being a small factor.
I had some grammer errors in the post I did not catch in time, so I hope that people will forgive me. RAH · August 17, 2008 11:49 PM The US Democratic Party is playing into the hands of every enemy of the US you can possibly think of. Islamic terrorists, Russian imperialists, Chinese hegemonists, Iranian apocalyptics, you name it. If the voters actually cared enough to see what was happening....but all they know is the messiah is coming to take care of them for life. Alyssa De Finement · August 18, 2008 12:18 AM If true, I would expect buffer layers for deniability. Direct threats and payoffs are more effective for keeping people in line, but also create vulnerabilities for those attempting to stay behind the scenes. The buffer layers - those people who are well-meaning fools (or partly well-meaning people who are too clever for their own good) - can be pried loose if they are convinced that their old ideas are not as good for Mankind as some new ones might be. All the more reason for the science to be rigorous in this matter. Assistant Village Idiot · August 18, 2008 08:31 AM Post a comment

That the uber greens and enviro-nazi's are commies at heart, is like noticing the sky is blue on a clear day. Look no further than the president of the Czech republic, who has publicly "outed" the AGW ideologues as old school commies.
Now, he's from a country where, I think we can all agree, folks would be familiar with the ways of the Reds. Indeed, in his recent electoral victory, one of the issues he rode the hardest was NOT buying into all of the AGW, crypto-commie, idealogy. According to him, it's just another means to the same old totalitarian end........
