It's official. Alito is the nominee.

Might the trial lawyers consider him their enemy in light of his previous rulings?

I haven't researched this, but in light of my last post, I hope so.

MORE: Alito might be a victory for free speech, which would doom McCain-Feingold:

Sounds like he could be good.

I just read that he's also quite consistently good on the free exercise of religion. That goes for Muslims and American Indians as well as Christians. Freedom of religion, of worship and conscience, is indeed the first freedom, from which all the other freedoms proceed. It is the very sanctum sanctorium of one's fealty to one's Creator, and Most High Goddess (She for Whom all things were created).
