The Devil is always in the details!

Justin made me take this mystery picture!

I don't see why that obligates me to say what it is, though. . .

Seeing the photo (which I was forced to take on my cell phone), Justin muttered something about "young muscular fascist youth" or something. (What's he trying to pull?)

"Young muscular fascist youth"? Hmmm.... I'm wondering what isn't fascist?

That Devil sure looks evil to me, very much like the villains in my fantasies and stories. That youth opposing him, could be a boy or a girl. That ancient dualism: Good vs. Evil....

The youth is male. The build is all wrong for a female (Victorian art assignments aside.*)

*Okay. Given the view of female sexuality in the Victorian era, it just wasn't done to have naked female models. Art students would go study classical statues, and there's not that many female ones (the Greeks celebrated male beauty, not so much female, and the Romans did mostly military and theological art), so the typical thing students would do is sketch a male body and put breasts on it. After all, with so much corsetry and flared skirts, it's not as though they had any real idea what women looked like...

(And despite the fact that some young men knew very well what women looked like, they were probably too bright to show it.)

That's all too true. I'm not man enough to be a man's man. I've always fantasized a girl instead of a boy, a woman instead of a man.

"Young muscular fascist youth"? "Mystic peasant fascist leader"? Fascist? Hmmm.... Mobilizing passions? Is Dawn a fascist? Hmmm.... Was Hitler a fascist? Did he call himself a fascist?

Fascist? Hmmm.... There were some fascist trees out there, and some fascist cars, but it's fascist night now. Here's a fascist color wheel. And here's a square spectrum of colors based on 2 dimensions of hue. Fascist? Here's a whole bunch of diagrams of color, with links to many more, based on 5 dimensions of color (hue, value, luminosity, chroma, saturation) and additive and subtractive primaries, within a cube of colors. Fascist? It all most certainly mobilizes my passions!

Hmm...a statue of David after killing Goliath...
The real question is if our modern youth, who no longer can be taught anything that smacks of "religion" would recognize who is in the statue...
As for "fascist", the PC answer is of course. After all, David was Jewish, and a small man (country) who managed to kill a larger, more vicious opponant who was out to kill him. Any Jew who defends himself is a fascist....
