#Walking Away

There are lots of these videos on YouTube. You can find more at #WalkAway.

( About 5 minutes )

I had my #WalkAway in 1980 when it came out that the Communists in Vietnam didn’t just kill 3,000 of their opponents as John Kerry had promised in his Senate testimony, but over 100,000. And of course there were the boat people fleeing the mass murder. About 500,000 of them. Half died at sea. I never forgave Kerry for that lie. Or the Communists. Or the Socialists. Or the Democrats.

I was out of the service by 1967.

But I did spend 3 months in the war zone in ’66 and got combat pay for cruising the South China Sea.

By the time I got out I was pretty much against the war.

interesting side note conservative vietnam veteran talk show host gil gross had robert macnamara sec. state during vietnam and was on show to plug his book on the war. he told gil that many had doubts about the war including myself! gil gross exploded on the air “you sent me over there and you didn’t believe in it! I think he ended the interview right there. he then announced all these years you anti war protestors were right and I was wrong!
