I watched Star Wars Sunday night. Again. The one with old Solo. Old Luke. Old Leia. It made me cry. Again. Damn.
I remember seeing the first one in ’77 at a Saturday matinee. When the Falcon went to light speed all the kids stood up and cheered. I’m an older kid. I did too. Reminded me of the Saturday matinees when I was growing up in the 50s.

Once upon a time, Hollywood made movies worth watching.
Then they started making sequels, and sequels to the sequels… and maybe the first was almost worth watching. And the second was worth watching if you could do it for free. And the rest you would pay to not have to watch.
