The National Enquirer Does Ted Cruz

Yeah. I know a newsstand tabloid of dubious reputation. However they do seem to get politicians correct. Remember John Edwards and Rielle Hunter? They got that right months before the rest of the media broke the story.

They now have Ted Cruz in their sights.

Presidential candidate Ted Cruz is trying to survive an explosive “dirt file” on the finger-wagging conservative senator!

And the new issue of The National ENQUIRER — on newsstands now — reveals how the reports say the staunch Republican is hiding FIVE different mistresses!

“Private detectives are digging into at least five affairs Ted Cruz supposedly had,” claimed a Washington insider.

“The leaked details are an attempt to destroy what’s left of his White House campaign!”

The ENQUIRER reports that Cruz’s claimed mistresses include a foxy political consultant and a high-placed D.C. attorney!

I have heard (not verified) that Trump’s national spokeswoman, Katrina Pierson worked in the Cruz campaign.

There is nothing more damaging to “God’s candidate” than to be found fooling around. If there are five women on tap? Well I think Trump’s delegate count will be going up faster than a LOT of people expect.

There are other issues about Cruz that are way more important to me (as in I don’t care who he is bedding). But the general electorate may not be so forgiving.

Update 24 March 2016 1657z

Hints of this scandal were announced on Politico on 11 March 2016.

Political insiders and operatives on Twitter are buzzing about new rumors concerning Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX). This news comes just after the 12th Republican debate which was hosted on CNN, and days before key primaries in Florida and Ohio.

The Stop Trump PAC has been hinting at a major news bombshell for days. But apparently, the supposed news has less to do about Trump than it does about Cruz!

The buzz focuses on Cruz and Tea Party activist Katrina Pierson. Pierson is a former consultant for Cruz’s United States Senate campaign and is now the national spokeswoman for businessman Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, which makes this a particularly uncomfortable situation.

So Cruz has had almost two weeks to prepare. It will be interesting to see what happens next.

Update 24 March 2016 1801z

I probably should add that what bothers me most about Ted Cruz is that Neil Bush of Silvarado fame is working for him and Jeb Bush has endorsed him.

Update 25 March 2016 0431z

A woman who thinks she is one of the five women the Enquirer refers to denies she had sex with Ted.

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

The sleazy National Enquirer, whose sleazy CEO David Pecker is Trump’s longtime friend, has endorsed the sleazy New York grifter and will publish anything towards that end. They’ve also attacked Ben Carson, Jeb Bush, and Carly Fiorina on Trumps behalf when he was feuding with them. Much like Donald, the National Enquirer has zero credibility.

If you want to understand Donald Trump, do yourself a favor and look into Narcissistic Personality Disorder – specifically the “unprincipled narcissist” variety. It will help you understand every move Trump makes, has made, and will make.

    Dave,

I have been aware of that for a few days. None the less they have to be careful of lawsuits.

    And let’s see

    Gary Hart
    John Edwards
    Tiger Woods

    All true.

They did get Clint Eastwood and Carol Burnett wrong.

But the question is – are the allegations against Cruz true? I have no idea. But it is news.

The one undeniable fact is that Cruz is a Bush guy. I don’t think the Bushes have the American people’s best interests at heart.

Does Trump? No way to tell at this point in time. I do like his choice of enemies.

Anyone who aspires to be President has a Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

    All of them.

Obama, Hillary, Cruz, Trump. What I like about Trump is that he makes no attempt to hide it.

“Anyone who aspires to be President has a Narcissistic Personality Disorder.”

This is not an accurate statement, but i can understand why many people think this is the case. It is one thing to say they have an inflated sense of themselves and/or are ambitious or even power hungry, but that is not the same as having a personality disorder. Trump, in nearly every aspect of his behavior, is compensating for a very damaged ego. If you have ever had an experience with someone with NPD (ie. a personal or business relationship) you would very easily recognize this.

    Dave,

I can’t think of a single President during my life who wasn’t damaged.

What is your backup plan – assuming Cruz fails and Trump gets the magic # ?
