Reporter For The Washington Times Confirms Allegations Against Cruz

Drew Johnson – twitter had this to say about the allegations against Ted Cruz.

COMING CLEAN: From what I know, at least 2 of the women named as Cruz mistresses by the National Enquirer are accurate

Well, that is not proof of anything. And “from what I know” is cover against libel. And it is my understanding that the Enquirer named no names. They just published some highly pixelated pictures. But it is early days yet. Rumors about Cruz have been circulating on Twitter since at least March 2nd. So not only has Cruz had time to build a cover story, but reporters have had some time to do a little digging.

There is a “picture” at the Onion showing Ted Cruz in fetish leather at a fetish event in Las Vegas. If you go looking for it – it is NSFW. It is no doubt a photo shop. And if you want to have more fun on the ‘net. Look up “ted cruz boyfriend”. Are those pictures real? Who knows? And I don’t care if he has or had a boyfriend. What I object to is him saying one thing about his religion in public and practicing differently in private. And we know that hypocrisy is at least likely given the National Enquirer piece. Any one remember televangelist Jimmy Swaggart?

Will a scandal like that stick to Trump? Not likely. He brags in his books about all the women he has bedded. That sort of thing is not uncommon with charismatic men – which covers most male politicians. America would be a better place if we acknowledged that politicians are human. They all have flaws. Election campaigns should be helping people know a candidates flaws. Then it is up to the voters to decide if they can live with those flaws.

Donald has done it exactly right. Flaws? They are not bugs, they are features.

Update: 28 March 2016 1031z

The Washington Times has fired reporter Drew Johnson for confirming the Ted Cruz sex scandal

So, Johnson speaks what he knows about a news story, and boom, he’s out of a job? That’s cold.

lol, they’re so obviously not even trying to pretend they’re journalists anymore. It’s so awful it’s hilarious.

That is a very backhanded way of confirming the story. If it is a confirmation.

All politicians have some kind of baggage but Donald doesn’t have to carry his.
