    I wouldn’t belong to any cult that would have me as a member.

    Ummm. Let’s just say I’m not interested in joining cults. (Even “I don’t belong to a cult” cults – lol.)

    Had early life experience with one, and it cured me of any interest in dealing with fanatics.

    great unknown wrote;

    “said Bertrand Russell”

    Which called this to mind:

    I was much cheered, on my arrival, by the warder at the gate, who had to take particulars about me. He asked my religion and I replied ‘agnostic’. He asked how to spell it, and remarked with a sigh: ‘Well, there are many religions, but I suppose they all worship the same God.’ This remark kept me cheerful for about a week.

    Bertrand Russell on his first experience in prison, related in The Autobiography of Bertrand Russell (1967–9), Ch. 8: The First War, p. 257.

    Firstly, it was Groucho Marx who said he wouldn’t join any club that would have him as a member, and secondly, Bertrand Russell was a pompous brit ass, remember those “war crimes” trials against the US, based on evidence supplied by the KGB, placed in western publications through the auspices of Romanian intelligence. Minor work in number theory and a not too bad summary of philosophy aside.
