The Right To Own Slaves

“With regard to the idea of whether or not you have a right to healthcare, you have to realize what that implies….I’m a physician, that means you have a right to come to my house and conscript me, it means you believe in slavery. It means you’re going to enslave not only me, but the janitor at my hospital, the assistants, the nurses…There’s an implied threat of force, do you have a right to beat down my door with the police, escort me away, and force me to take care of you? That’s is ultimately what the right to free healthcare would be.” – Rand Paul

H/T Samizdata.

Every tax, every regulation comes with it an army of bureaucrats and behind that an army (with guns) of enforcers.

Don’t think of it as enslavement, think of it as guaranteed work. We can even come up with some group work songs to help pass the day and if you work really well, we may trade you to a better hospital in the north.

    Remember, work makes you free…

What a joker. And if the work doesn’t work out there is always cleaning ovens, eh?

There is no right to health care just as there is no right to life. There are no rights only privileges that can be taken away at any time. as ayn rand found out. The jews at aushwitz could complain about rights but it took soviet tank armies to stop it not libertarian arguments! The supreme court ruled against andy jackson force liquidation of the cherokee people(my ancestors) Jackson sailed right let the supreme court enforce it! If I don’t have a right to health care you have no rights either!

That’s only if you allow someone else to control your rights. THEN they become privileges that your master allows you.

If you want to be a slave, feel free – that’s your right, too. Just don’t try to make the rest of us join you.

And some asshole is thinking right now:

“wow, slave girls, and I get to shoot AKs all day and chop heads. Sign me up!”

Here in the Untied Snakes, Land of the Feebs and Home of the Knaves we have right to be owned.

In the ante-bellum south there were skilled artisan slaves who were allowed to work and live on their own as long as they rendered a percentage of their earnings to their owner. Just like the 16th amendment enslaved everyone.
