Not by any means my favorite of their music. But perhaps appropriate. Anyway, thanks – it’s been at least a generation since I last heard it.
They had a big hit once. It was widely vilified by fans (OMG – a HIT- that’s not THEM!).
It seems more and more appropriate for today every time I see it.

I was real popular at Dead shows in part because of that song. I started going grey in my 20s. By my 50s I was as silver as Jerry. I’d get accosted in the parking lot at shows because of the grey.
I started going to Dead shows in ’67 in the Bay Area. The Fillmore. The New Fillmore. Winterland. Met Bill Graham once when he was tending bar (juice and yogurt only) at the Fillmore.
What a long strange trip it’s been.

P.S. I’m pretty damned grey myself, nowadays. I like the look. I tried going blond once and it looked AWFUL – but natural grey suits me.
