The real issue?

Earlier today I watched Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech about the danger of Iranian nukes. Not only did I agree with him, but I think the Obama administration is engaged in Neville Chamberlain style appeasement.

I don’t watch the news all that much, but I sometimes like to contrast Fox and CNN coverage.

Fox is seeing Iranian nukes as the important issue of the day, which it clearly is.

As to CNN, the focus right now is on the police in Ferguson, Missouri.

And why not? After all, the lefties see a clear link between Ferguson and Palestine.

I was impressed with Netanyahu’s speech, especially this:

“Now, if Iran threatens to walk away from the table — and this often happens in a Persian bazaar — call their bluff. They’ll be back, because they need the deal a lot more than you do.”

It reminded my of what a weak negotiator our Commander in Chief is, specifically his comment to Medvedev three years ago:

“On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved, but it’s important for him [Putin] to give me space…This is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility.”

    How’d that work out?

    State the problem:

Does a nuclear capable Iran pose an existential threat to the United States?

Does the United States have a responsibility to defend the existence of its allies?

If you cannot answer these questions, then the process moving forward is limited to platitude. Like, “we’re not the world police.”

Obama’s critique of Netanyahu’s speech was correct. Sure, Iran getting nukes would be very bad, but Netanyahu didn’t offer an alternative to negotiations. Neither the American public nor Congress supports the bombing or invasion of Iran.

The Lefties insist that police violence is a racial problem and ignore white victims such as John Geer (killed for absolutely no reason).

O’bimbo isn’t a Chamberlain, more like a Quisling. Chamberlain was wrong on the single most important issue of his day, but there is no doubt that he loved his country, was a patriotic British subject, and so on.

    Drake,

Yes, there is a racial problem. They also have not ignored white victims. The ironic part is that this is an issue where liberterians and liberals (and conservatives in general) can find common ground. Eric has posted a number of times about aggressive policing.

Unfortuantely, for the two of you, your hatred of lefties and refusal to associate with blacks trump your interest in civil liberties.

    Get out more.

The voting majority has twice told the neo-con artists war mongers in 2008 and again in 2012 NO MORE WAR!

Zonetard sticks his dick in the punchbowl again. What NO MORE WAR? There’s wars all over the place. We’re still in Afghanistan, we’re back in Iraq, and there’s drones all over the highway in Mystic Connecticut. Errr… Yemen and ghod nose where else.

Netanyahu’s speech to Congress can be summarized in one word – GRIPING. Griping means complaining, and just complaining. Netanyahu offered no suggestions for how to deal with the Iranian nuclear program other than what John Kerry is doing right now. Griping doesn’t solve problems. Griping is just something that angry old men waste their time on.

Netanyahu offered no suggestions for how to deal with the Iranian nuclear program…

He did indeed offer an alternative. Read this detailed account of Netanyahu’s speech where it is all laid out:

What needed to be done after 9/11, the annihilation of the terrorist state of Iran, was instead wasted on nation building in Iraq. It’s almost like we gave a gift to the Iranians by destroying their Sunni foe and neighbor. Leonard Peikoff wrote and paid for an editorial in the New York Times on October 2, 2001. In it he laid out the proper respone to state sponsored terrorism:

We need not prove the identity of any of these creatures, because terrorism is not an issue of personalities. It cannot be stopped by destroying bin Laden and the al-Qaeda army, or even by destroying the destroyers everywhere. If that is all we do, a new army of militants will soon rise up to replace the old one. [How prophetic is THAT statement!]

The behavior of such militants is that of the regimes which make them possible. Their atrocities are not crimes, but acts of war. The proper response, as the public now understands, is a war in self-defense. In the excellent words of Paul Wolfowitz, deputy secretary of defense, we must “end states who sponsor terrorism.”

Tehran and Qom should have glowed, as a warning and a promise.

Iran is a start only. To get to the real source Nuke Mecca. Let these terrorist scum aim their prayers at a giant glowing crater.

Why stop with Mecca? Still leaves 1.5 billion terrorist scum. I can only imagine how badly MMM is jizzing himself at that thought. I’m sure MMM would make sure no children are left either continue their dastardly terroristy ways.

What wins wars is ruthless brutality combined with overwhelming force. The Romans knew this, as did Sherman and Curtiss Lemay.

Defeat happens either when the enemy loses the will to fight, or when there aren’t any left. And since Islam is so tightly coupled
to one location, no location, no Islam.
