    Very near perfect. BEST cover of it I’ve ever heard, but my reaction was rather like Captain Ned’s – though I went to my very old record player and LP instead.

    The one that hit home for me was My Little Town which was a little later. It was every gay man’s anthem who grew up in small town America. For me the factory was The Diamond Match Company, the filthy air was soot that seeped into every room during almond smudge season, and the dead and dying were the blue haired old biddies and Masonic Lodge old farts who sent us off to fight a losing war and didn’t give a shit. All dead now, and good riddance to the lot.
