They who want to be obeyed

Earlier I read something that made me remember that 70s environmentalist slogan “SPLIT WOOD, NOT ATOMS!

Now that they have real power, the greenie weenies at the EPA have decided to ban most wood burning stoves. And the rules are the same no matter how cold the location:

…the most dangerous aspect of the EPA proposed guidelines is the one-size-fits-all approach to the perceived problem. The same wood burning stove rules would apply to both heavily air-pollution laden major cities and far cleaner rural regions with extremely cooler temperatures. Families living in Alaska, or off the grid in wilderness area in the West, will most likely have extreme difficulty remaining in their cold, secluded homes if the EPA wood stove rules are approved.

Probably just what the bastards want. Subjects need to be forced to live in cities, in the densest housing conditions possible, so they can be more easily ruled.

Take that, you bad bad humans!

And of course, “The commands of government officials must be obeyed at all times.”

Exactly what they are “teaching” the children:

There is also a growing movement to empower police to conduct door-to-door inspections to see whether people who own guns are keeping them locked up and/or inoperable:

Swampscott, MA Selectman Barry Greenfield introduced an enforcement discussion Wednesday that he hopes will lead to the safeguarding of guns in town — keeping them out of the hands of children.

In school shootings around the country, guns have been taken from parents and used by kids, he said.

The selectman said state law requires Massachusetts gun owners to keep their firearms locked away or rendered inoperable.

The problem, he said, is that police do not have the authority, granted by a local ordinance, to enforce the law and inspect the safeguarding of guns at the homes of the 600 registered gun owners in town.

The selectman said he has spoken with Swampscott Police Chief Ron Madigan about this.

“We need the ability to enforce the state law,” the selectman said.

If this incredibly bad goose-stepping attack on gun ownership sounds familiar, it should. The state of Washington considered it earlier this year.

Fortunately, there are still a few people who know that we have a constitution, and have a general idea of what police may and may not do. How long they can hold out remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, over at Daily Kos the lefties are clamoring for a “benevolent” Obama dictatorship.

We are going down the hole at an accelerated rate. It is to cry. Or laugh at the poor suckers who wanted this. Once the RULES are instituted they will be among the first purged. To eliminate potential competition.
