Fifty Plus Dead In Honor Of Rodney King

Here is some Rodney King history at the Wiki and the New York Times.

I have been asking this question lately: Will Trayvon Martin rack up more or fewer dead than Rodney King? Rodney had 50 homicides in sympathy.

There are some preliminary indications.

Reports have come in from eye witnesses in Sanford, Florida that the New Black Panther Party, an extremist group that has called for the killing of George Zimmerman if he is found not guilty, is busing in thousands to that town. Sanford is the location of the trial and near the place where the shooting of Trayvon Martin by Zimmerman occurred. There have been threats of riots if Zimmerman is not found guilty and it is believed that the New Black Panther Party and other extremist groups will attempt to take advantage of racial tensions after a non guilty verdict by organizing riots.

FWIW I have seen on the ‘net an anecdotal report (comment) of buses full of blacks headed south from New Jersey.

And lest you think all the unrest over the Zimmerman trial is spontaneous: Documented: Justice Department facilitated anti-Zimmerman protests.

A division of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) was deployed to Sanford, Florida in 2012 to provide assistance for anti-George Zimmerman protests, including a rally headlined by activist Al Sharpton, according to newly released documents.

The Community Relations Service (CRS), a unit of DOJ, reported expenses related to its deployment in Sanford to help manage protests between March and April 2012, according to documents obtained by the watchdog group Judicial Watch.

There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs….There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who do not want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public. – Booker T. Washington

I fear we are in for an ugly summer.

You and I may not be interested in the Race War, but the Race War may be interested in us.

The hysteria of gun store sales has eased a BIT and many of the items are now somewhat available again very near the pre-hysteria prices. Ammo, it’s not doing as well as firearms, but it’s improved a bit over the months, while prices are down a bit from hysteria max.

Get a firearm and practice. There is still time. Start with a shotgun. A 20 gauge shotgun is fine and works well with small persons and new shooters. It delivers twice the knockdown power of Dirty Harry’s 44 Magnum pistol. The laws on long guns are fairly reasonable, even in the communist states.

It would be ideal to have a shotgun, a pistol, and a rifle plus plenty of ammo and practice for each. You can get a Remington 870 or Mossberg 500 with 18 inch barrels for $400. Those are the Toyota Camry/Honda Accord of the shotgun field.

    1. Old man worries that blacks will riot over Zimmerman verdict.
    2. JoD goes to Florida to prevent escalation. No riots.
Reads comment on the internet about blacks boarding bus (likely one below a comment about Michelle Obama and Chewbacca).
    3. Old man blames JoD for starting black riots. Searches for cloud to yell at.

If there’s even one fact in TheAJ’s flatulent pronouncement, it’s got better stealth than the B2

    AJ,

Be patient. The verdict is not in.

And AJ. A good writer explains his acronyms at least once in a series (or a single) of comments. Assuming he wants to be understood.

Very sloppy on your part. A LOT of writers do that. I don’t. I even had a commenter thank me for not obfuscating through obscurity.
