Ann Althouse has had — and is having — problems with Google.
But reading this ominous post by Patterico convinces me that the time has come to look for an alternative to Google. Moreover, Professor William Jacobson calls it “the Big Blogger Blackout of 2011,” and says that several of his posts are missing.
Fortunately, my blog is not on Google. But if they are willing to mess with blogs, I’m not sure that being dependent on Google as a search engine is wise in the long term. Perhaps I should seriously consider making a break. OTOH, I don’t want to be paranoid.
Any thoughts?
